The Birmingham Dahlia Society
A little bit about us…
The Birmingham Dahlia society caters for both experienced growers and novices wishing to compete in local shows, but also welcomes those interested in the growing of dahlias for the garden. We hold two shows per year, and monthly speakers on a variety of subjects such as propagation, showing and varieties. We also have plant sales that raise revenue to fund the cost of venue hire, speakers and administrative costs.
All are welcome so please come enjoy our meetings and/or shows.

Our History

The society was founded in 1962 and began meeting at the Polish Club in Birmingham.
3 years later the society moved to the Uplands Allotments in Handsworth where it stayed for many years.
